What to do! How to best see the Island!

The best thing to do when you arrive is to plan to take a tour of the island so you can plan your stay. There are two excellent tours available. The Conch Train is a 90 minute tour around the island with one stop. It is the best way to get a complete overview of the island. The other is the Old Town Trolley. This tour stops at every key point of interest and lets you get off and on until you reach your original departure point. Must See List:

1. Hemingway House- don't miss the Lighthouse Museum across the street. It's a tough climb but the view is Great!

2.East Martello Tower Museum- great history of Key West and a spectacular view of the ocean.

3.Audubon House- a beautiful Conch house.

4. Little White House- now open after being closed for many years, this house was made famous by President Truman.

5. Mel Fisher's Museum- lots of treasure from the Atocha.

6. Sunset at Mallory Square- this is an event every day and a festive happy time.

7.Key West Cemetery- walk this entire area to see a true picture of what Key West is all about.

"Bone Island Shuttle"

This is one of the greatest BARGAINS on the island! It stops at 16 locations throughout the island and a one day unlimited access ticket is only $5.00!

Here's how it works: The RED route runs clockwise around the island. It stops at:KEY WEST WELCOME CENTER QUALITY INN, DAYS INN, KEY AMBASSADOR, SHERATON, CASA MARINA, SOUTHERNMOST POINT, KEY WEST BIGHT, CLINTON MARKET, BAHAMA MARKET, FAIRFIELD INN, RAMADA INN, COMFORT INN, ECONOLODGE

The BLUE route operates counter-clockwise around the island. Stops include: KEY WEST WELCOME CENTER, HAMPTON INN, BANANA BAY, KEY WEST BIGHT, CLINTON MARKET & MALLORY SQUARE, BAHAMA MARKET, SOUTHERNMOST POINT, CASA MARINA, SHERATON, KEY AMBASSADOR, COCONUT MALLORY, HOLIDAY INN BEACHSIDE, ECONOLODGE, COMFORT INN,

Shuttles stop (at least) every 30 minutes at each location. Parking is FREE at the Key West Welcome Center. Also, if you buy your ticket when you buy your Conch Tour Train or the Old Town Trolley ticket, you save $1 on your Bone Island Shuttle ticket!

You can travel the entire island without your car all day for only $5.00 per ticket. Parking on the island is very difficult and expensive. This will make your visit a truly pleasant one.
